Some Scenes From The Weekend

I'm still trying to catch my breath a bit after my first week at the new gig. It was a whirlwind of new girl enthusiasm, learning how to use a mac (after 13 years on a pc), and abject fear (the kind that signals you are embarking on something new and exciting). Suffice to say, I was ready for the weekend.

We had a fantastic impromptu dinner and (copious amounts of) wine with Lucia and Pete and family over which they proceeded to kick my butt a bit in the best possible way. There was also a pretty fantastic afternoon involving coffee (again copious amounts) with my soul sister Achlee + more butt kicking. And the collective result was reinvigorating, as those lovely and amazing peeps reminded me of all the things you just desperately need to be reminded of when you're in the midst of feeling totally crazy. It was exactly what I needed. I owe them. Big time.

The rest of the weekend was all about cupcakes and mother/daughter dates and recovering from colds and reveling in the fact that the girls are obsessed with the Rolling Stones, especially Millie who's been humming Beast of Burden non-stop (which is pretty much the best thing ever, yes?)

Hope your weekend was fantastic friends!

Beast of Burden will forever be my all time favorite song. Millie has great taste in music! Jealous of your cupcake date...I have been CRAVING Sprinkles in the worst way!

So glad you are at your new gig and excited ( if a tiny bit scared) and can we talk about the gorgeous bracelet stack? Is that your arm hun? ( if so, I need details) :) and the adorable dress on Millie(?). Love....

How is the new gig going friend?!? Will email you shortly.

Sounds like the perfect weekend after a hectic start. Let me jest tell you that you'll be a new woman once you learn a Mac - it's so much better. I'm getting used to using a PC at my job and it's been rough....

Have a wonderful Valentines day with your sweeties! xxoo
