Painterly

An old school example of thhe ubiquitous "arty" trend, this splatter paint carafe/cups combo from deadbird finds is especially groovy...in the best possible way.

If you've picked up a fashion magazine in the past three months, then you know that "art" is the big thing for spring -- the brushstroke printed frocks, pop-art colors, paint splattered fabrics...you get the picture.

I read about a gazillion magazines during my 24 hours of total flight time to-and-from Munich, so I have to admit, I might be a tad bored of the look. That notwithstanding, I would totally wear this little Vince dress. Happily.

kari...you're on to something, this season we could make our own painterly frocks with sharpies. love it...and so economical!

I just know that if I tried to make my own version of that dress it would end in disaster :)
