Some Scenes From The Weekend...

The weekend was a blur, a whirlwind, a frenzy even, involving (but not limited to):

  • One case of double pink eye
  • One magical dinner at my friend Janet's house
  • Three kiddos toasting sparkling apple juice, roasting marshmallows and orchestrating a (rather impressive) improv performance
  • Three hours of leather tassel making
  • Six little girls getting along swimmingly for a full afternoon playdate (thus allowing me to embark on the aforementioned three hours of tassel making)
  • One bout of the stomach flu (ugh)
  • Two ballerinas participating in their spring recital

Onto a new week...

Sorry about the illness - the photos are lovely though. Loving the lil ballerinas and that amazing shed

Despite the bouts of sickness you managed to find some time for loveliness! Great photos. Peonies are my all time fave and missing those ballerina days since it's all boy in this house!

Love how you intertwine the beauty - fairy wings and gorgeous chairs - with the reality (pink eye!)

Hi Joslyn,
I don't know if you will see this comment from such an old post. If you do, and if you remember, could you tell me where you got your brass nail head/upholstery tacks that you used on your leather tassels? I have looked everywhere(!) and can't find any that small. I am all geared up to make these for Christmas gifts - I have the leather, and key chains, but I didn't realize I would have such trouble finding these tacks!! Anyway, if you possibly remember the name of the store, or online site I would REALLY appreciate if you could let me know! Thanks so much. Love your blog. It is one of my favorites!!
