An Outfit (Deconstructed)...

I realized two things recently:

    1. I haven't done an outfit post in a while.

    2. I might be in the midst of a slight obsession with (wait for it) peach and dusky blue. Oh ok, it could also be camel and slate or orange and cobalt, but peach is just so much more scandalous, don't you think?

Some evidence of the latter (in no particular order):

And finally (you knew I'd get to it eventually), the outfit featured in this post...

The dress looks gorgeous, and I love it put together with the necklace.

beautiful combination of dusty muted colors. And I agree with skykomie, the dress looks much better on you than it does in the catalogue. Also, just have to say, I love the way you do your outfit posts, very elegant and understated, we get to see the details and the overall look without a billion fake model poses. Not hating on anyone specific, just appreciating your good taste.

    thanks for the kind words!

I bought the dress pretty true to size. I got the small...but I'm thinking it runs a bit on the largish size...very comfy!

Wow, that dress is stunning. It looks so much better and more interesting the way you styled it than JCrew. WAY better. Don't think it would look that good on me...

I love the outfit on you, especially the cardigan. It's a final sale item and I'm debating what size to order, as I'm sometimes a small and sometimes an extra small. Do you find that it runs particularly big or small?

Chante -- I ordered a small...i think it runs a bit big, so you might go with the XS.

The outfit is fabulous but it's your living room photos that are killing me. It looks amazing.I love all the touches of dusky blue and peach. The colour combo feels fresh and interesting.

ktuominen -- the white hurricanes on the coffee table are a combo of vintage and West Elm from several years ago...but i noticed that West Elm has some similar ones in the stores again!

I love your style. Am really considering buying the Sirah and Siren dresses for myself but I am a bit short. Something tells me that you're not.

I love your living room! Blogs make snooping so much easier nowadays - used to be I'd have to walk past windows on tippy toes at dusk! Your dusty colors are the opposite of my saturated bright colors...

    Thanks for sharing!

I agree with the other ladies, your home is great. Love the pictures you shared. It looks neutral done right, and I love the rustic elements with the modern. Really nice! The outfit is great too and think I might order the dress based on your pictures. Looks much better on than in the catalog.
