Millie's Pins

Friends my Pinterest addiction has reached a bit of an all-time high.

I need some pinning action right before bed; I'm jonesin' for it the minute I wake up... I'm going to eventually need help. And if that wasn't enough, now I'm pulling my loved ones down with me, as (after partaking in a few pinning sessions with her on my lap) Millie's hooked too. She calls it the "pinning game", and she asked me if we could play it before school this morning.

I've sunk to a new low.

There is, however, an upside. These joint pinning sessions have forced me to let up a bit on my staunch rule to only pin things I absolutely love. So now amidst all my beloved pins there might pop up, say, a dog wearing a pom pom topped party hat or a row of ballerinas sporting neon pink tutus. I figure what I'm giving up in aesthetic rigor I'm gaining in my attempts to be a more laid back parent. (At least that's what I'm going with.)

Millie now officially has her own board, aptly titled, millie's pinnin with me. She calls it "her gallery". Man the apple didn't fall far from the tree with that one did it?

i am laughing right now. sometimes i feel a little gross about the addiction, like when someone asked me the other night, "are you on instagram" and my response was, "no, i'm on pinterest." geez.

i also have to say that i am a huge fan of the neon tutus photo. : )

go millie! xoxo joanna

So cute! I have the same thing going on with my daughter (by the name, her name is Milli :) ) - when she see me infront of my laptop, browsing and looking at photos (pinterest but not only) she always come to sit on my lap and start ruling the navigation: "This photo mum! no, not this one! This one is prettier..." And yes, it is most likely be a drooling dog with a tiara on his head.......

So funny you would write about pinning today. This morning I was going through the people I follow and I saw a room and thought immediately "This totally looks like a room Joslyn would like." Funny enough, guess who pinned it. Yep, it was you. I had to laugh. Of course it was you. Keep pinnin' sister!

Too funny...the joy of having girls! I too am hooked. I turn on the computer and instantly open 6 tabs; FB, Twitter, Pinterest, Bloglovin, Urbanchiqueness & Gmail. My boys bust me every time but then they want to know how many hits their photos have had today. It's a new iWorld!

I keep a board that is dedicated specifically to those pins that I think "Do I really like this or do I just imagine that I do because it's 3 a.m?"
Turns out I generally don't have very good judgement as to what is either funny or pretty at 3 a.m.
Turns out I should be in bed.
So relieved to know I'm not the only one over-doing it.

Yup, pinterest is majorly addictive. Now it's even hooking the little ones! Hilarious. Well, I just subscribed to both your boards and Millie's, so get back to work pinning!

My love of Pinterest is shared by my 11 year old so much she continually requests her own account. Maybe because I can only stomach so many adorable fat cats, mustaches, and things related to Harry Potter. I laughed reading your post as I guess I should just flow with it. hmmm
I remember covering my walls with magazine pages about her age, so this is the modern version I guess.
Maybe her own board (or two) full of tween loves is best!
