Some Scenes From The Weekend...

This weekend was strikingly similar to the last in that we again relied on quick dips in the pool interspersed with long bouts of getting our "craft on" in an attempt to cope with the blistering heat. There was more fun with wooden beads, and we tried marbling paper for the first time using this awesome little kit (a major success), which we used to make feather shaped invitations for Audrey's upcoming "hippie" birthday party. (Note: I *might* be obsessing about Audrey's party a bit... but it can't be helped, birthday parties are my thing.)

I'm off to NYC this morning, so in between all our crafty fun, I was also busy preparing for my quick 48 hour solo(!) trip. I'll be there for a fun little project (details to come), but I'm also planning to squeeze in dinner with a dear friend, a fun meet-up and some adventures with lovely cousin Erin...we just realized we're both going to be in the city at the same time, which is a totally serendipitous occurrence, as we've been dreaming about a trip to NY together to no avail. Needless to say, we're pretty psyched!

I'll be back mid-week with details from the trip. Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!
