A Few Random Bits...

First up, just some pure, unadulterated "pretty" in the form of this crazy cool macaroon tower. I need to figure out a reason to make one of these beauties -- or given my lack of DIY skills, have one made for me. (spotted via steph)

Next up, this video of artist Caris Reid* talking about her inspirations and creative process (one of my all-time favorite topics). She's so lovely and thoughtful and articulate.

* Caris' "blogger's favorites" post from last summer in case you missed it...

I'm over at Beth's fantastic blog talking about what I'm currently reading (+ don't forget to enter the giveaway for Beth's lovely necklace by midnight tonight!)

And speaking of giveaways (and books), I'm offering up one of my favorite books over on Raising Foodies if you give me the scoop on your favorite side dish...

Ok
, that's all!

Macaroon tower - GORGEOUS! However, is it just me, but do macaroons look wayyyyyy more beautiful than they taste? I'm still totally seduced by their stunning colors ;)

One of my favorite books.
I love his style of writing and I love that the story was not "enhanced" with unnecessary drama or a 'twist & turn' plot. The writing, the story of friendship, love, and life- speaks for itself.

I had a couple macaroon towers at my wedding but sadly, they were not edible. I think they were glued together somehow. But they sure did look pretty.

And I also love to hear about anyone's creative process. So, so interesting.

That is a perfect book to be reading in the late summer. His writing always reminds me of clear lakes and green mountains.
