Scenes from The Weekend

I'm happy to report that it was a super mellow weekend (largely due to the adherence to bullet three on my "resolutions" list), which pretty much consisted of ballet, brunch and a mermaid themed b-day party for our buddy Stella on Saturday and a jaunt out to Legacy books with the girlies on Sunday for a little project I'm working on.

The girls had a blast at the bookstore...they have a great kid's section + there was a new book in it for me -- that Elizabeth Peyton number above, considerably on sale. Highlights included flopping on cushions, perusing books and munching on heart shaped cookies with their buddy Oliver (who Audrey's decided she's going to marry...hmm.) Then to cap off a fantastic Sunday we had homemade pizza at lovely cousin Erin's for dinner.

A mellow weekend sure does make slipping into Monday an easier prospect...

So, do tell, did you do anything delightful this weekend?

I made the fabulous felt wreath that was on design*sponge a few weeks ago! I have all this pent up creativity that I've been suppressing all semester, and I have to get it out before school starts again next week...

That sounds like the perfect weekend... My daughter and I did some painting and baked topped with cuddling at night while watching old children movies - it was also what I consider a lovely weekend.

Thanks for sharing those photos, they look like so much fun ;)

We had a great weekend, very cruisy. It was very hot so we spent Sat and Sun in the pool and then Sunday we headed across thr road for a lovely swim and BBQ with our neighbours. Home by 7.30pm, boys in bed by 8pm and hubby and I spent the rest of the evening sharing a few glasses of fine wine and conversation.
Happy Monday Joslyn and thanks for stopping by my blog, I was chuffed.
Cheers
Engracia

Love these photos! It sounds like a lovely weekend! I had my very first ballet class on Saturday. I've never taken before and it was SO fun! I also had a great Sunday at my family's property in Washington state. It was great to be away from technology.

I wish I had stripey tights like Millie's! Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Mine was equally lovely... spent just enjoying the company of my family. ;)

Is there anything better than spending an afternoon getting lost in a bookstore? I think not.

Lovely lovely weekend!

Oh I am so homesick now for NYC! Plus I'd love those sheets. Hope I win!

Where is Legacy Books? I think it is on my must do list for Dallas.

Elizabeth,
It's just off the Dallas North Tollway at Legacy Dr. in Plano...

It's a great space.
