The Date

So, the original plan was to go to lunch, get a Sprinkles cupcake and then see that movie about meatballs falling out of the sky, but then Audrey insisted we watch trailers on YouTube to ensure she would like said movie. (I suspected she had an ulterior motive...I was right.)

After the meatball movie trailer, she then slyly requested we watch the trailers for Fame (all gazillion of them...) Satisfied that the movie wouldn't scar her for life with excessive smooching and swearing, I relented.

She's good that one... I need to seriously prep for the teenage years.

that is so sweet!
PS-THat meatball movie is NOTHING like the book. THe book is sweet and is a story about a grandfather telling his grandson a story. The illustrations are the cool part though. All hand drawn, colored and absolutely beautiful! Definitely pick up the book before they bring out the new movie edition and the original is nowhere to be found!

LOVE this pictorial, Joslyn! Priceless. And really, m'dear, you'll probably do just fine with the teenage years. My mother heard me singin' Irene Cara til her ears would bleed and we did okay!

(Wait... did I just type that out loud?) ;)

LOL. My husband's mother took him to see Flashdance when he was 12, and he said that she squirmed the entire time.

Realized too late that it was completely inappropriate for a 12 year-old, but got through it.
