Refreshed

We spent the past few days doing some serious end-of-summer bonding with the girlies at a fun hotel outside of Austin that sported all sorts of cool/mellow things to do -- think movies under the stars, s'mores around a big campfire, a big shady pool...

Usually quick trips with our kiddos are more stressful than relaxing (fun but stressful nonetheless), so this time we were determined to do things differently. We didn't plan any activities (we didn't even leave the hotel for three days!), we slept in, didn't rush around and generally just lazed about. At one point, I sat in the little sandy beach area off the pool burying my feet in the sand with Millie for three hours. No reading material to distract me, just me + millie...digging.

It was pretty much perfection.

That sounds wonderful! As soon as we get our girl off the bottle we are going to head out somewhere, anywhere, to just unwind.

So happy you guys had a great time! I love those dresses!

What a great vacation! I headed just outside of Austin last weekend, too - just what the doctor ordered! So glad your fam had a great getaway just before heading back to school!

Have a great first day of school! Tell Audrey that Ryan is starting at a new school too and he's a bit nervous about it...although he won't say that :)

We vacationed at Lost Pines last summer... so perfect for the little ones... I loved getting a roasted marshmallow and walking along the Colorado River at sundown... Something about that place just makes you relax...
