Scenes from The Week-End

We kicked off the weekend with a visit to Christine (the brilliant co-founder of Small Magazine) and Steve's new kids store in Dallas, Little Bean. Friends, it is perfection...and yes we bought a few things, but more on that on Thursday.

From Little Bean we made our way to the museum where the girlies did yoga and made all sorts of creations before we met up with our friends Julie, Tim and Cecilia to peek in on the European paintings.

The rest of the weekend was spent, well pretty much eating. We made a quick overnight trip to clebrate our friend Blayne's birthday. He's an amazing cook, so the spread was awesome -- an all-day smoked brisket, homemade beans, a simple vinagar based cabbage and carrot slaw, homemade spicy dill pickles, homemade vanilla ice cream. You get the picture, no?

How was your weekend?!

Cute yogis!

Our weekend was delightful. More time spent out than in. And it's not quite over!

Such lovely little yogis! You seem like such a great mom -- always doing fun things with your girlies. It's inspiring for me, a mom-to-be!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! My heart leapt for joy when I saw Audrey standing in front of that Manet, "The Bugler"... I just did an extensive stylistic analysis on that piece for a Modern Painting class. What a treasure we have in the DMA, no?

I love discovering new children's stores. Can't wait to see what you bought. We had so much fun this weekend too. Beach, homemade applesauce, live salsa music, celebrated niece's first birthday . . .
