Hotel Saint Cecilia

Whenever Bryan and I make a pilgrimage to Austin we stay at the Hotel San Jose -- It’s our absolute most. favorite. place. I dream about creating a house in its likeness one day.

I’ve gotten a few e-mails about the Hotel Saint Cecilia (created by the San Jose’s founder Liz Lambert), and after seeing the images, I’m officially intrigued. It’s a little less groovy than the San Jose... more luxe, a smidge decadent + sexy and interesting. While I'm not sure I'm ready to completely abandon our old standby, I’m dying to give this place a spin...

We drive by this every week on our way to our lifegroup and are also so intrigued! It's not as accessible and groovy as San Jose, but the words I have heard from pals who frequent the bar are "breathtaking" "amazing" "luxe fabulous" and "I wish I could live there." Enough said. We said last night that we plan to head there to celebrate the completion of our house reno! If you get there first, tell all!

I absolutely ADORE the San Jose but of course, I would love to try this as well. I just don't get to Austin often enough!! You live close, so I think you could try something new (and report back). :)

oh, pretty, we go there on business a few times a year, Austin that is...is San Jose comfortable? I love the patio, but never stayed there, this Cecilia joint looks promising too...

Michelle -- the san jose is comfortable, but the beds are not the absolute best i've ever slept in...

the saint cecilia sports those fancy handcrafted Hastens beds in every room...hmm.

I've always thought about staying at the Hotel San Jose when we go to Austin, but it's hard to say no to my parents' house! Not to mention their place comes with free babysitters for the evening!

It looks so beautiful - somehow peaceful and simple and luxurious all at once.

Beautiful...it reminds me of a place I stayed in Austria. I love unique hotels.

Ooh--I love the look of this! It reminds me of the Bowery Hotel in New York, where the huz and I stayed on our wedding night: a little louche and kind of dark and mysterious in a 19th century stews of london kind of way!

I happened to stumble upon this gorgeous hotel while doing a little research on an upcoming trip to Austin. I was instantly smitten!

Speaking of Austin, would you be willing to share some of your favorites with me? It will be our first trip there and I want to make sure I don't miss anything. Thanks!
