Perspective

Images via port2port press…which for me is simplicity incarnate.

I’m easing into this week after a full past few days… My folks arrived from their home in Louisiana Sunday afternoon, fleeing what they hoped wouldn’t be another Katrina. Thankfully it wasn’t. Their home was relatively unscathed (minus the pecan tree in the back yard that came down roots and all but miraculously managed to miss the house completely.)

Just one more reminder for me to focus on the important stuff, keep things simple, and stay appreciative amidst the daily stuff I’m so quick to complain about lately.

I was so glad to hear that NOLA was mostly just very wet. Sorry about the pecan tree though. That stinks.

Beautiful pictures. Thank you for posting them.

So glad to hear that your parents are okay and their place relatively unscathed.
I think we could all use the reminder to keep things in perspective. It's so easy to get caught up in the trivial stuff from day to day without taking a step back and thinking about the big picture.

Keeps everything in perspective, doesn't it? Lovely shots and I'm happy that your family is unscathed.
