Now that I’m an adult and buying my own wrapping paper, one of the first things I do at the beginning of the season is buy multiple rolls of the same pattern. I spend a lot of time picking the paper each year and use lots of different ribbon to dress things up.
For me this would be an ideal combo.
So, in the grand tradition of getting back everything you dished to your parents in spades, of course Audrey wants nothing more than for every single gift to be wrapped in a different kind of paper...ideally, the most sparkly, santa-ish, green and red paper possible.
Maybe something like this could be a compromise…but somehow I doubt it.
You know my mother is totally loving this.

Good luck Joslyn! Once kids get the whole Christmas thing, your ideas are pushed to the back burner for a long, long, time! I bet Bryan is loving your paper choice though!
I hear ya Jane!
And yes, the faux bois paper was a nod to my sweet husband...who doesn't really care how i decorate for christmas ;-)
Joslyn, I have always been matchy with this too. I also bought the faux bois paper in multiple rolls, and decided to combine it with a snakeskin print wrap I bought last year at Ikea, and silver and gold metallic solid wraps, with deep turquoise ribbon!
oh that sounds amazing Laura!
i am currently working on my wrapping plan 2007 where everything matches, so i am with you 100%. i went with newsprint, baker's twine, and cute little clips to hold the tags ....
