There is truly no shortage of inspiration out there. For years, I’ve kept binders and accordion folders stuffed with images I’ve ripped from magazines. Every few months I flip through them and remember what moved me about the space…maybe it was as simple as liking a lamp or a piece of furniture, but usually it was an overall feeling that the room conveyed.
I try to channel the inspiration from those images into to creating a home that reflects my family’s taste, personality and needs, not to copying anything verbatim. But every once and a while, with very little rhyme or reason, I come across an image of a room that I’d move right into. (Hopefully it wouldn’t freak the current occupants out too much.)
