I really love
this book from
Ilse Crawford. It's a few years old, but I keep coming back to it. She doesn’t focus so much on aesthetics as on creating a home based on the need for survival, safety, love, respect and self-fulfillment. Her concept that "the more virtual our world becomes, the more we need the physical” really resonates with me right now, and the pictures are awfully pretty too.
