Purse Dump

My friend Raya did a little post about the contents of my purse over on the D Magazine shopping blog earlier this week that I thought would be fun to share here.

The entire experience was a bit eye opening, really. Thing is, I've always fancied myself a bit of a minimalist. I am not a fan of the clutter or overly sentimental about stuff (my willingness to trash seemingly important things -- cards from friends, hand-drawn pictures from the girls -- is alarming).

And, yet... That is a lot of freaking stuff in my purse. (I'm carrying around an apple and a book for God's sake!)

Now in all fairness, all that stuff was tidily organized in an array of little pouches before we did the "spill." Despite the fact that apparently "a photo of neatly organized pouches isn't really interesting," (who knew?) I conned Raya into snapping a "before" pic.

Now that's more like it.

You can read the entire post here if you are so inclined...

Happy holiday weekend friends. Hope yours is splendid!

Funny! I'm exactly the same way. Purse full of pouches. And I am really good at tossing stuff. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't keep every kid drawing!

So fun. Why are we so attracted to these sorts of posts? The inner voyeur in all of us must just be aching for more detailed glimpses into others' private spaces ;) Regardless, I just love seeing what's in other people's bags!

I love my CV la trop, and rely on pouches to keep it organized, although I'm pretty sure there is a box of crushed raisins and my son's drawings at the bottom of the bag.

I also received a copy of D Moms, and enjoyed it very much!
