A Bird, A Book and A Break… (from the uniform)

Just a smattering of the things currently taking up residence on "the list"

Ever since spotting it on the Vitra site, I can't get that little Eames House Bird out of my head, and I'd like two copies of this book of Swedish graphic designer Olle Eksell's work please -- one for flipping through and one for framing.

Then there's the outfit. I love the wide-leg jeans with heels, (I'm just not a skinny-jean girl) and I especially love those jeans with that slouchy, slub cotton tee and the big, glittery, sort of over-the-top necklace. In fact, I like the entire outfit so much it might be just the thing to break me from my complete and total dependence on the uniform -- we'll see.

That book looks amazing! And I, too, am not a skinny jeans girl. Wide (or at least wide-ish) leg jeans and heels are MY uniform! Very, very flattering. Go for it!

WHO can wear skinny jeans well?? and, aren't the teenage boys who are wearing these worried about their future fertility??! that much elasticized denim can't be healthy for anyone. Here here to the return of the wide leg!

I'm with you regarding the illustrations. Wouldn't they look great in the kids' rooms?
