  4. you're so cute. i think it's a keeper. i just bought my first-ever target shirts the other day--i needed black tees for my new sushi gig, and i couldn't justify spending a lot of money of ones that might get bleach on them (already sacrificed one pair of pants to that)...and then i saw a really cute tee with a peacock graphic...and i had to get that too...i guess that's how target works...so many things to tempt!.

  7. Totally keep it. And when it falls apart, verify the purchase by turning it into car cleaning cloths! ; ) I can always muster up a reason to buy from Target when I need to!

  13. A note on Target quality and disposable clothes. I have a few pieces from Target that are about ten years old. They still look great so don't worry about where you got it and how little you paid for it. Quality can be found in surprising places. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for JCrew, you know?

  14. Carol -- good point...my jcrew stuff doesn't seem to last much longer than my target stuff and i wore a banana republic black skirt to work this week that I bought 10 years ago!

not sure where you get quality clothes...maybe you just have to make them ;-)

    happy friday.

  16. I bought this very same dress in black and in gray – and I love them both! I've already gotten lots of wear out of them – over jeans, with tights ... and the thing is, I have a few pieces of clothing from Target that have held up amazingly well. 24.99 or not, they look as good and last as long as some of my more pricey things ... so even though I also have that same nagging feeling that I shouldn't shop at Target, I think it really depends on what you buy and how much consideration you put into the purchase.
